Terms of Use

SMSToGo rents temporary United States phone numbers for receiving one-time SMS verification codes from a service you choose. You pay for each number from a prepaid account wallet, which you top up in cryptocurrency. The same orders are available from the dashboard and from our developer API.

A number is issued for a single verification with the service you selected. It is not a long-term rental, cannot send messages, and may be reissued to other customers after your order ends.

You must be legally able to enter into these terms where you live. If you use SMSToGo for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.

You must provide accurate account information, keep your credentials confidential, and promptly contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless applicable law provides otherwise.

You may not use SMSToGo to:

• break any law, regulation, court order, or third-party right;
• commit fraud, impersonate another person, or evade lawful controls;
• send spam, harassment, threats, or abusive content;
• interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or bypass access controls;
• introduce malware or automate access in a way that burdens our systems;
• resell access or misrepresent SMSToGo as your own service without permission; or
• use a number in violation of applicable telecom rules or the terms of the service you are verifying with.

Temporary-number services may be restricted by websites, telecom carriers, or local law. You are responsible for determining whether your intended use is permitted.

Services, prices, and availability may change without notice. The price charged for an order is the price shown when you place it. We may correct catalog errors and refuse or cancel an order where required by law, fraud controls, or technical limitations.

The order price is charged to your wallet when you place the order, before a number is requested from our provider. The number then stays open for receiving a code for a limited time shown with the order.

Your wallet is refunded the full order price if:

• no number could be issued for your order;
• you cancel the order before a code arrives; or
• the order expires or is released without a code being delivered.

Once a message is delivered to your number, the order is complete and is not refundable, whether or not the code works for you. Refunds are made to your wallet only, never to a card, bank account, or crypto address. We cannot guarantee that a given service will send a code to our numbers or accept them.

Each account has one wallet. The wallet is a prepaid balance for buying orders on SMSToGo, not a bank account, stored-value account, or payment instrument. You may add funds to it in cryptocurrency through our payment processor. Wallet funds cannot be withdrawn, transferred to another account, or exchanged for cash, and top-ups are not refundable.

A cryptocurrency top-up is paid on our payment processor's own page and is credited once the payment is confirmed on the relevant network, for the amount you selected. Follow the currency, network, amount, and time window shown on that page. We credit your wallet only once the processor confirms the payment in full. A payment below the selected amount, a transfer on another network or missing a required memo or destination tag, and a transfer that arrives after the window closes may never be confirmed, and we cannot recover or credit a transfer the processor does not confirm.

We may correct a wallet balance through an administrative adjustment, which appears in your transaction history.

You may create one API key from your dashboard settings to place and manage orders programmatically. Orders placed with your key are charged to your wallet and are subject to these terms exactly as dashboard orders are. Keep your key secret: anyone holding it can spend your balance. Issuing a new key revokes the previous one.

We may limit, suspend, or revoke API access that burdens our systems or breaches these terms. Breaking changes to the API are published under a new version path.

SMSToGo may link to third-party services. Those services are governed by their own terms and policies. We do not control their availability, eligibility decisions, content, or technical performance.

The site, software, design, branding, and original content are owned by SMSToGo or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Services for their intended purpose.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from protected parts of the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.

If you send us ideas or feedback, you permit us to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not give us ownership of your personal information, which is handled under our Privacy Policy.

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services. We may also restrict or close an account that violates these terms, creates risk for users or the service, or must be restricted to comply with law. Where reasonably possible, we will give notice before a material change.

To the extent permitted by law, SMSToGo is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free catalog data, that a number will be available for a given service, that a service will send a code to it, or that a code will be accepted. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, SMSToGo and its licensors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunity, arising from use of the Services, including the loss of access to an account registered with one of our numbers. Mandatory consumer protections and any liability that cannot legally be limited remain unaffected.

We may update these terms as the product and applicable requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the date above. If a change materially affects registered users, we will provide additional notice where reasonably practical.
